Reverend John F. Clark grew up in a loving catholic family surrounded by ten siblings, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After moving to Kansas City MO., he not only found the love of his life, but he found Christ. His now wife of 39 years encouraged him to attend her Methodist church home and shortly after he accepted his calling to preach the word of God. Rev. Clark’s priority has always been to provide for his wife and daughter and just recently he has embraced the role of being both the head of his household and the head Pastor of his church. He has worn many hats and explored several different paths, but they all have led him back to teaching people how to be more like Christ. He continues to be a living example of what God can do in your life and his daily motivation will continually be; to be a good husband, father, grandfather, and pastor.
I accepted Christ at a early age. I am a lifetime CME member who have worked diligently with children church which lead me to start my own childcare center. I drove the church van for many years picking up children who had no one to bring them. I was a choir member for over 40years. I attended Annual conferences every year. My husband and I met and married 11 months later. We agreed to join the CME church to be together in one place. I was praising God and doing church work faithfully. He accepted the call to preach at several churches with me at his side. We will celebrate 39 years in August. We are proud parents of our only daughter Jonisha and her husband Josh Holman. We have two wonderful grandchildren who we adore. I get stage fright when speaking in front of a group. I love to talk one on one. When God called me out of my shyness by dancing and flagging for his purpose I accepted the call at 50+. This was truly God because I tried to run from it but soon accepted his will. God has the last words. I love flagging and praising for God. There was a time we felt God leading both of us to PowerShift Worship center. Later, My husband accepted a rotation preaching assignment at True Faith with only three members. I thank God for their faithfulness. I support my husband 100%. We also understood that we were serving the same God. With his Leadership we agreed that my work for God was also important. I’m listening for God guidance in where he wants me to be. I love working in the church. I’m so proud of my husband and his faithfulness.
